Microsoft June 2026 Patch Tuesday: 3 Zero-Days, 198 Fixes

Microsoft released its June 2026 Patch Tuesday security updates today, patching 198 vulnerabilities across Windows, Office, and other products. Three of those flaws were already being actively exploited in real attacks before Microsoft had a patch ready — making this a month where updating quickly really matters.

The most serious issues include 54 remote code execution (RCE) vulnerabilities, several of them rated Critical. Remote Desktop Client received 11 CVEs including four Critical ones, and Windows Hyper-V has flaws that could let an attacker escape a virtual machine and run code on the host. For everyday Windows users, the key action is simple: let Windows Update install June’s patches as soon as possible.

How to check if you’re affected

Affected versions include all Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems that have not yet installed the June 2026 cumulative updates (KB5094126 for Windows 11 24H2/25H2, or KB5093998 for Windows 11 23H2). To check: open Settings → Windows Update and click Check for updates. If the June patches are listed, install them now. Restart when prompted to complete the installation.
